Basketball Wraps Up Final Regular Season Games

Basketball moved outside today for their third and final regular-season games. Gettysburg and Manila Bay finished undefeated and will play for the championship, while Alamo and Yorktown entered their games needing wins to challenge for a spot in the 3rd and 4th place games; both brought home the victory, with Alamo narrowly winning in a 10-7 victory. Bataan and Bunker Hill will play in the 5th and 6th place game. Belleau Wood and Valley Forge continued their struggle, but they will get a chance to play each other for their first win of the week.

Boys’ State Basketball Tips Off After Two Tough Days

Boys’ State basketball is off to a roaring start with fast breaks, drained threes, and dunks. Gettysburg and Manila Bay are both 2-0, while both Valley Forge and Belleau Wood are yet to claim their first victory. Teams are focusing on their offense with the highest scoring game of the week (so far) reaching 157 points! The games today were played in the Coliseum on the University of Nebraska campus. This week is sure to bring even more fun and excitement.

Opening day athletics for 2025 Cornhusker Boys Staters got into the action today as they took the field, stepped up to the plate, and hit the courts in competitions that pit their newly founded towns and teammates against each other. Camaraderie is palpable on each floor, that is evident. Chemistry among teammates are still in their early stages. With that said, some teams have gotten off to a very fast start, while others performances leave more to be desired. Results from day one are as follows:
